Espectre is a Catalan Folk/Black Metal project founded in 2021 in Casserres, distinguished by its use of the Catalan language and its fusion of rustic folk atmospheres with raw black metal expression. Entirely crafted by multi‑instrumentalist Jordi Marmi, the project channels a solitary, introspective vision rooted in local folklore, rural mysticism, and the cold, melancholic landscapes of inland Catalonia.
Musically, Espectre blends tremolo‑driven black metal riffing with acoustic textures, pagan‑folk motifs, and a lo‑fi aesthetic that enhances its spectral, intimate character. The project’s sound evokes the solitary spirit of early one‑man black metal while incorporating melodic sensibilities and folk‑tinged passages reminiscent of the Catalan pagan tradition.
