Hadadanza is one of the most vibrant and theatrical folk‑metal/folk‑rock bands in the current Spanish scene. Formed in Alicante in 2017, the band blends festive folk instrumentation, medieval storytelling, and fantasy‑driven narratives—often drawing directly from Tolkien’s legendarium—with a modern, upbeat rock/metal foundation. Their music is colorful, melodic, and designed for celebration: tavern dances, traveling bards, enchanted forests, and wandering adventurers.
Their debut EP “Magia” (2018) introduced their playful, magical aesthetic, followed by a steady stream of singles that built their identity around fantasy worlds, medieval imagery, and theatrical performance. In 2020, Hadadanza released their first full‑length album “Juglar,” a lively and narrative‑driven work centered on the figure of the medieval jester and the power of storytelling.
The band’s second album, “El circo de los muertos” (2022), expanded their theatrical dimension with a darker, circus‑themed concept—still festive, but with a macabre twist. Their third album, “Aventura y leyenda” (2024), returned to high‑fantasy themes, heroic quests, and the adventurous spirit that defines their sound.
Hadadanza’s lineup features flute, violin, and dynamic vocals alongside traditional rock instrumentation, giving their music a rich, folk‑infused texture. Their live shows are known for their energy, costumes, and immersive storytelling.
