Hades Rising emerged in Tromsø as a melodic black/death metal band whose sound blends cold northern aggression with a strong sense of melody and dramatic tension. Although the project’s earliest formation details remain obscure, their recorded output traces a clear evolution from raw, frost‑bitten beginnings toward a more expansive and modern expression of extreme metal. The self‑titled debut album in 2017 introduced their core identity: sharp riffing, harsh vocals, and an undercurrent of melancholic atmosphere that set them apart within the northern underground.
