Iberian Wolves

Iberian Wolves is a pagan metal/RAC band from Córdoba, active since 2008 with a brief hiatus between 2014 and 2016. Their music blends pagan metal, melodic aggression, and themes centered on heroes, battles, Norse mythology, and pagan identity, alongside far‑right political and nationalist content, which forms part of their lyrical and ideological framing. The project sits within the Spanish RAC underground, combining metal instrumentation with martial, epic, and folk‑tinged elements.

Their first demo, “Sonidos de Iberia” (2009), introduced a raw pagan metal sound with nationalist overtones. The split “Lamento y furia vol. 1” (2012) and the debut album “Europa” (2013) expanded their presence in the scene, mixing melodic passages with mid‑tempo pagan metal structures. After internal problems led to a temporary breakup, the band returned in 2016 with renewed activity and a more polished production style.

From 2017 onward, Iberian Wolves released several full‑length albums—“Hasta el Ăşltimo aliento” (2017), “Iberian Metal Circle” (2018), and “No pediremos perdĂłn” (2020)**—alongside singles and live material. Their 2023 single “Embajadores en el Infierno” marks their latest known output. The band has also appeared on multiple RAC compilations, reflecting their alignment with that scene.

Musically, Iberian Wolves combine pagan metal riffing, melodic leads, and anthemic structures with lyrical themes tied to Iberian identity, mythic warrior imagery, and political messaging. Their lineup has shifted frequently, with Esteban Garrido remaining the central figure since the band’s formation.
