ĂŤsfjall was founded in 2019 in Girona, Catalonia, as an instrumental atmospheric black metal and ambient project centered entirely around the creative vision of Taiga. The project’s debut year alone produced Frozen Landscape, Endalaus vetrar nĂłtt, and the EP Tales from the Remains, establishing ĂŤsfjall’s signature blend of cold melodic drift, hypnotic repetition, and immersive ambient passages. These early releases were noted in underground circles for their ability to evoke isolation, winter desolation, and the quiet violence of natural environments without relying on vocals or traditional song structures.
