Korruption Found formed in 2004 in Barcelona, becoming part of the Catalan extreme‑metal underground with a sound rooted in melodic death metal but sharpened by black‑metal aggression. From the beginning, the band embraced a politically charged, socially critical lyrical approach, reflected in their album titles and their raw, confrontational aesthetic. Their music blends fast tremolo riffing, melodic leads, and harsh vocals with a distinctly Catalan identity, often incorporating themes of conflict, oppression, and resistance.

Their debut full‑length Inventors de la guerra (2010) introduced a band with a clear message and a sharp, riff‑driven sound. The album was noted in local scenes for its intensity and its fusion of Scandinavian‑influenced melodic death metal with the darker edge of black metal. The follow‑up, DĂ©us del genocidi canĂbal (2013), pushed their sound further into aggressive territory, with more complex guitar work and a harsher vocal delivery. Underground reviews highlighted the album’s thematic boldness and its uncompromising tone.

After several years of lineup changes and live activity, Korruption Found returned with MaledicciĂł (2020), a more mature and atmospheric record that balanced melody and aggression with a refined sense of structure. The album demonstrated the band’s evolution, featuring tighter performances and a more polished production while retaining their raw emotional core.

In 2024, the band revisited their origins with the single Inventors de la guerra 2.0, a reimagining of material from their debut era. This release reaffirmed their commitment to their roots while showcasing their growth as musicians.

Korruption Found’s longevity is anchored by the partnership between drummer Ramon ClarĂ  and guitarist Xavi Roig, both founding members who have shaped the band’s identity since 2004. Their music remains a fierce, politically charged expression of Catalan extreme metal, marked by intensity, conviction, and a dedication to melodic yet aggressive songwriting.
