Sigramaça is a folk‑metal band from the Balearic Islands, active from 2014 and rooted in the Mediterranean folk tradition of Mallorca. Their sound blends energetic metal riffing with traditional instruments such as violin, flute, and bagpipes, creating a festive yet aggressive style typical of Iberian folk metal but with a distinctly insular, Balearic character.

Their first release, the single Testing the Hell (2015), introduced their raw, youthful sound—fast guitars, folk melodies, and a playful approach to songwriting. In 2017 they released their self‑titled EP Sigramaça, which expanded their musical palette with richer arrangements and a stronger folk presence. The EP showcased the band’s ability to merge melodic metal with traditional Balearic timbres, especially through the interplay of violin, flute, and bagpipes.

After 2017, the band’s activity became unclear, and their status remains unknown, though no official disbandment has been announced. Their small but memorable discography reflects the vibrant underground metal scene of the Balearic Islands, where folk instrumentation and local identity often play a central role.
