Self‑description: “Folkcore”

Silendert is a hybrid folk/melodic death/metalcore band from Castellón, known for fusing modern metalcore breakdowns, melodic death metal riffing, and folk‑inspired melodies into a style they call Folkcore. Their music blends aggressive rhythmic structures with uplifting, melodic passages and occasional folk‑tinged harmonies, creating a sound that sits at the crossroads of Iberian folk metal and contemporary metalcore.

Their only known release, the full‑length Savia y sangre (2015), is a 55‑minute album featuring 11 tracks that showcase the band’s stylistic range. Songs like 284, Quid Proquo, Leyendas, Orbe, Lágrimas, Nueva era, Luz, and the title track Savia y sangre mix harsh vocals, melodic choruses, and dynamic guitar work. The album balances emotional themes with energetic, modern metal production, making it a notable entry in the Valencian underground scene.

After 2015, the band’s activity becomes unclear, and their status remains unknown, though no official disbandment has been reported. Silendert stands as an example of the experimental spirit within the Spanish folk‑metal and metalcore fusion movement of the 2010s.
