Templario is one of the longest‑running heavy‑metal bands from the Valencian Community, active since 1988 and known for blending traditional heavy metal with folk elements, socially conscious lyrics, and a strong Mediterranean identity. Their sound is rooted in classic Spanish heavy metal—melodic guitars, powerful vocals, and a rock‑solid rhythm section—while incorporating flutes and acoustic textures that give their music a distinctive folk edge.

Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Templario built a reputation for lyrical depth, addressing themes such as drought, environmental struggle, social injustice, and the human condition. Their early albums, including SequĆas (1996) and Templario (2000), established their melodic yet gritty style. The band remained remarkably productive, releasing a steady stream of full‑length albums across the decades.

Works like La risa de las bestias (2003), Besos de Judas (2004), and A hierro (2007) show their evolution toward a heavier, more mature sound, while Invierno de tiranos (2011) and Grandes fracasos (2015) reflect a band unafraid to confront darker or more introspective themes. Their most recent album, 9 verdades (2019), continues this trajectory with refined songwriting and socially aware lyricism.

Templario also appeared on notable Spanish metal compilations, including Very Metal VIII (2003) and the Tributo a Panzer (2004), further cementing their place in the national scene.
