The Fall of Every Season began in Trondheim in 2004 as an atmospheric doom/death metal project built around themes of sorrow, melancholy, and solitude, shaped entirely by the vision of its sole creator. From the start the music centered on long, immersive compositions where heavy, mournful riffs intertwined with clean passages and introspective melodies, creating a sound that moved between crushing weight and fragile calm. The early demos Her Withering Petals (2004) and Neglected’s Motif (2005) established this blend of emotional depth and atmospheric restraint.

The debut full‑length From Below (2007) presented a fully realized expression of this approach, marked by shifting dynamics, expressive vocals, and a strong narrative sense of personal decline and reflection. Amends (2013) expanded the project’s emotional and melodic range, offering a more mature and contemplative exploration of grief, memory, and inner reconciliation while retaining the characteristic interplay between doom‑laden heaviness and delicate, melancholic clarity. Active under Grau Records, The Fall of Every Season remains a solitary and introspective presence within Norwegian doom, defined by its focus on emotional honesty and atmospheric depth.
