Transneptunian was a short‑lived Andalusian atmospheric black‑metal project dedicated to cosmic ambience, astral minimalism, and the cold vastness of outer space. Emerging from Seville’s underground, the project embraced a stripped‑down but immersive approach: long, drifting riffs, distant vocals, and a lo‑fi production style that emphasized emptiness and cosmic isolation. Their music fits naturally within the Spanish “cosmic black metal” micro‑scene—bands focused on interstellar themes, void‑worship, and hypnotic repetition.

Their only known release, the EP Infinite Expansion (2012), was issued through Nebular Carcoma Records, a label known for raw, atmospheric, and esoteric black metal. The EP’s title reflects the project’s core aesthetic: vastness, entropy, and the cold silence of the universe. After this release, Transneptunian disappeared from activity, leaving behind a single, obscure but evocative recording.
