Vaultrust was a short‑lived Madrid atmospheric black‑metal project active around the mid‑2010s, built on a foundation of bleak ambience, slow‑burning riffs, and a thematic focus on decay, mortality, and existential collapse. Their sound leaned toward the raw, depressive edge of atmospheric black metal—minimalistic, suffocating, and introspective.
Their only known release, the demo Pendulum (2017), captured this aesthetic: hypnotic repetition, cavernous vocals, and a sense of suspended time, as if trapped between life and death. After the demo, the band’s activity became unclear, and no further material has surfaced.
