Zinvmm is one of the most singular and hermetic projects to emerge from the Andalusian underground. Active from 2009 into the mid‑2010s (exact end unknown), the project blended raw atmospheric black metal, dark folk, and ritual ambient, all filtered through a fascination with European folklore and especially the Irish Gaelic linguistic and mythic tradition.
The project’s identity is entirely centered on a single creator—known simply as Zinumm—who handled all instruments and vocals. His work is characterized by lo‑fi textures, pastoral melancholy, and a sense of wandering through old forests, ruins, and mythic landscapes. The music often shifts between harsh black‑metal passages and long ambient or folk interludes, creating a dreamlike, folkloric atmosphere.
Zinvmm released a surprisingly rich discography in a short span, including a full‑length, multiple EPs, and a split, before disappearing into silence after 2014.
