Razumikhin

France — Lyon, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes — Symphonic Post-Black Metal

Biography

Razumikhin is a symphonic post-black metal project founded in 2009 in Lyon, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Named after a character from Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment, the project initially explored existentialist themes before shifting toward satire, social criticism, and poetic expression. Working independently, Razumikhin blends post-black metal foundations with orchestral arrangements and dramatic atmospheres, creating a sound that is both intense and literary in tone. Across its releases, the project has developed a distinctive identity marked by emotional contrast, narrative depth, and a modern symphonic edge.
