Regarde les Hommes Tomber

France — Nantes, Pays de la Loire — Sludge/Post-Black Metal

Biography

Regarde les Hommes Tomber is a French sludge/post-black metal band formed in 2011 in Nantes, Pays de la Loire. Their name is taken from the 1994 film by Jacques Audiard, reflecting the project’s focus on themes of human failure, downfall, and divine punishment. Signed to Season of Mist, the band blends crushing sludge foundations with post-black metal atmospheres, creating a sound marked by ritualistic tension, dramatic crescendos, and apocalyptic intensity. Over the years, they have become a central force in the modern French extreme metal scene, known for their conceptual albums, powerful live performances, and collaborations with the Les Acteurs de l’Ombre collective. Their discography traces a narrative of spiritual collapse and transcendence, culminating in increasingly ambitious and cinematic works.
