Accursed Day is an atmospheric black metal project from Bitola, North Macedonia, centered entirely around the creative vision of Filip Dajevski, who performs all instruments and vocals. The project’s sound is rooted in sweeping melancholy, nature‑driven ambience and tragic, introspective storytelling—drawing from the atmospheric traditions of Eastern European black metal while maintaining a distinctly personal emotional tone.

Musical Identity

Accursed Day’s music blends shimmering tremolo melodies, immersive ambient passages and sorrow‑laden harmonies with a raw black metal foundation. The project leans heavily into mood and narrative: long, flowing compositions that evoke forests, solitude, grief and the quiet, painful beauty of nature. Rather than aggression, the emphasis is on atmosphere—melancholic, reflective and deeply human.

Releases

Tales of Silent Hope (Full‑length, 2020)

The debut album presents Accursed Day’s aesthetic in full form: expansive, melodic black metal infused with ambient textures and emotional depth. The record explores themes of loss, longing and the fragile hope found in nature’s silence. It established the project as one of the more evocative atmospheric acts in the Macedonian underground.

Consume (Single, 2022)

A standalone track that continues the project’s melancholic direction, with a slightly darker and more introspective tone. It showcases Dajevski’s evolving compositional style—more refined, more immersive, and increasingly cinematic.

Accursed Day also contributed two tracks—“Silence of the Nightforest” and “Summoning of Nature”—to the compilation Leaving Ground (2020), further expanding the project’s reach.
