Ambroz is one of North Macedonia’s longest‑running and most resilient extreme metal bands, active since 2004 and rooted in a hybrid of death and black metal. Founded by Dijana Pešovska and Cvetan Spirkoski, the band has evolved through numerous lineup changes while maintaining a core identity built on harsh riffing, atmospheric keyboards and a lyrical focus on death, misanthropy and existential decay. Their sound blends the aggression of death metal with the bleakness of black metal, often enriched by dark melodic passages and a cold, oppressive atmosphere.
Across two decades, Ambroz has steadily expanded its discography—from early demos to fully realized albums—becoming a central presence in the Macedonian underground. Their music has appeared on national compilations, including the 2014 Печат release, which helped introduce their work to a broader audience.
