Antraknoza is a Polish black metal/post‑punk project from Wrocław, founded in 2021 and driven entirely by multi‑instrumentalist Radosław Żmuda, also known for his work in Samobójstwo. The project blends raw black metal intensity with the cold minimalism and rhythmic pulse of post‑punk, creating a sound marked by stark atmospheres, emotionally fractured vocals, and a sense of urban decay. Its music often shifts between abrasive, dissonant passages and bleak, melodic undercurrents, reflecting a modern, introspective take on Polish black metal.
Beginning with a series of singles released between 2024 and 2025, Antraknoza steadily refined its aesthetic, moving from lo‑fi aggression toward a more atmospheric and expressive style. Tracks such as PietĂ , Po ciemku nie widać wspomnieĹ„, and Rausz introduced themes of inner collapse, disillusionment, and existential numbness, carried by hypnotic riffs and a stark, emotionally detached vocal delivery. The project reached full maturity with the 2025 album “Interdykt”, a cohesive work built on cold melodic lines, post‑punk‑infused rhythms, and a suffocating sense of spiritual and psychological confinement. The album’s structure, from the opening Anatema to the closing Terminus, forms a descent through guilt, intoxication, shattered hope, and final resignation.
Entirely independent and uncompromising in its artistic direction, Antraknoza stands out within the contemporary Polish underground for its fusion of genres and its emotionally raw, minimalist approach, offering a bleak yet compelling portrait of modern despair.
