Death Vomit is an obscure raw black metal project from Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, operating in the deepest layers of the underground with virtually no public presence beyond its sole known release. The project embraces the harsh, primitive aesthetics characteristic of the Bosnian raw black metal movement, favoring lo‑fi production, abrasive riffing and a suffocating atmosphere over accessibility or refinement. Its anonymity and minimal output have contributed to a small but dedicated cult following among collectors of extreme underground metal.
The self‑titled demo Death Vomit (2017) stands as the project’s only documented release. The recording delivers a barrage of distorted guitars, crude drum programming or minimal percussion, and a vocal performance drenched in reverb and filth. The sound is intentionally hostile and unpolished, aligning Death Vomit with the rawest traditions of Eastern European black metal. The demo’s atmosphere is one of decay and spiritual corrosion, relying on repetition and texture rather than melody or structure.
Behind the project is Grof Vampirski, who performs all instruments and vocals. His work in Death Vomit reflects a solitary, uncompromising artistic vision—one rooted in the rejection of modern production standards and the embrace of pure, unfiltered extremity. While little is known about his broader musical activity, the sound and presentation of Death Vomit place it firmly within the lineage of Bosnian raw black metal, a scene defined by anonymity, hostility and a fiercely DIY ethos.
Though the project has remained silent since 2017, Death Vomit’s lone demo continues to circulate among underground enthusiasts, serving as a snapshot of Tuzla’s contribution to the region’s extreme metal landscape.
