Dräkavtré is one of the more elusive and feral entities within the VIIIXIII collective, a shadowy Balkan–Albanian–Bosnian network of raw black metal projects known for their extreme anonymity, primitive recording methods and fixation on hatred, violence and spiritual negation. Alongside Aiqëhahirit, Humnerë, Llahtarë, Tmärrdhë, Vetëvrakh, Vrasësinerëzve and Vrkolak, Dräkavtré forms part of a deliberately obscure constellation of projects that operate far outside the visibility of the broader underground. Their releases are scarce, often limited to microscopic tape runs, and circulate almost exclusively through private channels.

Musically, Dräkavtré embodies the most abrasive traits of the VIIIXIII aesthetic:

The atmosphere is one of feral hatred and spiritual rot—black metal stripped to its most primitive, violent essence. The project’s sound is closer to a curse or a fever hallucination than a conventional recording.

The first known release, Ghost of the Dracul (2016), introduced this spectral, vampyric strain of raw black metal. The title reflects the project’s fixation on Balkan folklore, lycanthropy, vampirism and ancestral terror—motifs that recur throughout the VIIIXIII circle. The split with HumnerĂ« (2017) strengthened the project’s ties to the collective, pairing two of its most hostile and atmospheric entities. Manifestations of Pure Hatred (2022) marked a return after several years of silence, delivering some of the project’s most violent and unhinged material.

Behind Dräkavtré stands Drák Vrasësinerëzve Dvutë, a figure deeply embedded in the VIIIXIII network and active in several of its associated projects: Aiqëhahirit, Humnerë, Vetëvrakh, Vrkolak, ex‑Llahtarë, ex‑Tmärrdhë, and Vrasësinerëzve. His work across these bands forms a coherent artistic universe—one defined by hatred, Balkan mysticism, and a commitment to absolute sonic primitivism.

Dräkavtré remains active but unpredictable, appearing only when new material is ready to be exhumed. Like the rest of the VIIIXIII collective, the project thrives on secrecy, scarcity and the cultivation of a mythic, hostile aura.
