Dysposium was a short‑lived melodic black metal band from KlaipÄ—da, active in the early 2000s and remembered primarily for their 2004 demo Buried in Oblivion. Emerging during a period when the Lithuanian underground was expanding stylistically, Dysposium leaned toward a melancholic, atmospheric form of black metal, blending sorrow‑laden melodies with mid‑tempo structures and a sense of emotional weight typical of the era’s Baltic sound.

Their music was characterized by melodic guitar lines, mournful keyboard passages, and a vocal delivery steeped in despair and introspection. While the band never achieved wide recognition, Buried in Oblivion circulated within the local scene and was noted for its expressive, melancholic tone and its balance between aggression and atmosphere. The demo’s raw production and emotional focus placed Dysposium alongside other early‑2000s Lithuanian acts exploring darker, more melodic approaches to black metal.

The lineup featured musicians active in various corners of the KlaipÄ—da underground, each contributing to the band’s layered sound: Dmitry “Demon” Korobka’s melodic guitar work, Olga “Lialia” Lapina’s atmospheric keyboards, Aleksandr “Shurik” Micheenko’s drumming, and Andrej “Andre” Artamoshkin’s combination of bass and anguished vocals. Despite the promise shown on their demo, the band faded from activity shortly afterward, leaving their exact disbandment date unclear.

Though their output was limited, Dysposium remains a small but evocative footnote in Lithuania’s early melodic black metal history—a project defined by emotional darkness, atmospheric melancholy, and the fleeting intensity of a scene still taking shape.
