Elite was a short‑lived but notable raw black metal project from northern Luxembourg, active around the turn of the millennium. Their sound aligned with the harsh, primitive, misanthropic strain of late‑90s black metal—lo‑fi recording, abrasive riffing, and an atmosphere steeped in nihilism and occult hostility. Though their discography is small, Elite is remembered for its connections to several other underground Luxembourgish acts, forming part of the early network of musicians who shaped the country’s extreme metal identity.

The band’s first appearance came with the 2000 split Worship Us / Misanthropic Nihilism, a release that captured their raw aesthetic and thematic fixation on misanthropy. This was followed by the 2001 demo Worship Us, their only standalone recording. Both releases reflect the project’s uncompromising minimalism and its place within the embryonic Luxembourg black metal scene.

Elite’s lineup centered around two musicians—Harmageddon and Mr. Elite—both of whom were deeply involved in other extreme metal projects of the era. Their shared history across bands like Hell, Misanthropic Nihilist, Obscenus, and Stormthrone of Dripping Blood situates Elite within a tight, interwoven network of early Luxembourgish black metal experimentation.

The band eventually dissolved, leaving behind a small but characteristic footprint in the region’s underground.
