Fuck Off and Die! (often stylized as F.O.A.D.) is one of Lithuania’s longest‑running and most notorious black/thrash crossover acts—an unfiltered, hostile, and deliberately abrasive project built around the singular vision of Kommander L. Since its formation in 2005, the band has embodied a philosophy of absolute negation: anti‑social fury, alcohol‑soaked chaos, and a gleeful rejection of moral, religious, and political norms. Their sound fuses the speed and violence of early thrash with the venom of black metal and the sneering attitude of hardcore punk, resulting in a style that is both primitive and explosively energetic.
Their debut full‑length No Peace. No Love. No Whores. No God. (2005) immediately set the tone—raw, fast, and unapologetically hostile. The follow‑up Anti All (2007) sharpened the band’s identity, leaning further into blackened thrash aggression while maintaining the project’s trademark nihilistic humor. By the time Sociopathic Regression arrived in 2012, F.O.A.D. had fully crystallized into a one‑man studio assault, with Kommander L. handling vocals, guitars, bass, and drum programming. The album was praised for its relentless pace, razor‑sharp riffing, and its complete refusal to compromise.
Between these major releases, the compilation The Pulse of [Self]Destruction (5 Years of Life Denying) (2010) documented the band’s early evolution and cemented their reputation as one of the Baltic scene’s most unhinged underground forces.
Although F.O.A.D. is fundamentally a studio project, the live lineup since 2015 has transformed the band into a formidable stage presence. Featuring members of Living Altar, Sisyphean, Crypts of Despair, and Luctus, the live incarnation delivers the material with far more physicality and intensity than the drum‑programmed studio recordings might suggest. Their performances are chaotic, aggressive, and drenched in the same anti‑social spirit that defines the band’s entire ethos.
Despite relocations—from Kaunas to Rome and eventually to Vilnius—the project has remained consistent in its mission: to channel pure hostility into blackened thrash metal without pretense, polish, or restraint. F.O.A.D. stands as a testament to Lithuania’s rawest underground impulses, thriving on provocation, speed, and absolute contempt for anything resembling civility.
