Gjääkhphirësi Qiivüürmykür is an obscure black metal entity from Tirana, operating within one of the most secretive and deliberately impenetrable corners of the Albanian underground. The project belongs to the Black Hermetic Circle of Le Chandelier Noir, a collective said to encompass more than twenty related projects, all tied together by an esoteric, ritualistic, and often deliberately cryptic aesthetic. As with many acts associated with Medieval Werewolf Antiquarium, Gjääkhphirësi Qiivüürmykür embraces extreme anonymity, arcane symbolism, and a raw, otherworldly approach to black metal.
Musically, the project’s output is characterized by harsh, chaotic riffing, cavernous production, and an atmosphere steeped in occult abstraction. The sound leans heavily into the tradition of raw, hermetic black metal—dissonant, ritualistic, and intentionally obscure. The project’s visual and conceptual identity is built around invented alphabets, distorted linguistic forms, and an emphasis on mysticism and metaphysical darkness, aligning it with the label’s broader aesthetic of medievalism, occultism, and anti-modern esoterica.
The 2020 demo Gjääkhphirësi Väärhrnxirrë introduced the project’s sonic identity: lo-fi, abrasive, and drenched in an atmosphere of ritualistic hostility. Its reception within the micro‑scene surrounding Medieval Werewolf Antiquarium positioned the project as one of the more distinctive voices in the label’s roster, notable for its dense, alien vocal textures and hypnotic, repetitive structures.
In 2021, Gjääkhphirësi Qiivüürmykür appeared on a split release with Mùrghúzvbrë Äärkhéèthvbrë, titled Ghürghüllhyëmè É Phërrhöjhvét Të Àhkhülltëh, issued in a cassette edition limited to only 40 copies. This release further cemented the project’s commitment to extreme underground exclusivity and its alignment with the Black Hermetic Circle’s ethos of secrecy, ritual, and symbolic obscurity.
Though details about the project’s membership, formation, and activities remain undisclosed, Gjääkhphirësi Qiivüürmykür continues to operate as part of a tightly interwoven network of Albanian and international raw black metal projects dedicated to hermeticism, occult symbolism, and the preservation of an intentionally inaccessible artistic identity.
