Kultika formed in 2008 in Timișoara and began as a black metal band before gradually evolving into one of Romania’s most distinctive post‑metal acts. Their early material carried raw black metal influences, but the band soon shifted toward expansive, atmospheric compositions marked by layered guitars, introspective moods, and a strong sense of emotional tension.
