Lijundra

Origin: Lithuania
Formed: 2024 (as Cruentum Infernum), 2024–present
Status: Active
Genre: Doom / Black Metal
Label: Independent
Themes: Nature

Lijundra emerged in Vilnius in 2024, initially under the name Cruentum Infernum before adopting its current identity and shifting toward a more atmospheric, nature‑oriented fusion of doom and black metal. The project’s sound is defined by slow, weighty riffing intertwined with melancholic black metal textures, creating a mood that is both earthy and introspective. Their music leans heavily on organic atmosphere—echoing forests, moonlit landscapes, and the quiet severity of Lithuanian nature—while maintaining a raw underground edge.

The founding duo, guitarists Eva and Matas, established the project’s core aesthetic: somber melodic lines, layered guitars, and a balance between doom‑laden heaviness and black metal bleakness. Early material circulated under the Cruentum Infernum name before the band re‑emerged as Lijundra, refining their identity and thematic direction. In 2025, the single MÄ—nulio aušra introduced their new sound—slow, reflective, and steeped in nocturnal atmosphere.

The addition of drummer Kasparas RaÄŤys (known from Magyla, Shvininiai Sharvai, Tuurngait, and others) in 2025 brought greater rhythmic depth, while vocalist Tomas joined the same year, adding a harsher emotional dimension to the band’s evolving style. Their 2025 demo further solidified Lijundra’s presence in the Lithuanian underground, showcasing a blend of doom’s mournful weight and black metal’s raw, windswept intensity.

Despite being a young project, Lijundra has already carved out a distinct identity within Lithuania’s atmospheric and doom‑leaning black metal scene, marked by its dedication to natural themes and its steadily expanding lineup.
