Naamah was a prolific depressive black metal project from Brașov, active between 2018 and 2021. Named after the Hebrew demoness associated with seduction and darkness, the project embraced themes of despair, self‑destruction, and vampiric mysticism. Naamah became known for its relentless release schedule, issuing numerous demos, singles, EPs, and full‑length albums within a short span of time. The music combined raw DSBM aesthetics with atmospheric elements and a cold, ritualistic tone, reflecting both emotional collapse and occult fascination.
The debut full‑length Lost Forever… (2018) set the foundation for Naamah’s sound, followed by an intense wave of releases throughout 2019, including Symphonies of a Dying World, Inexistence, and multiple singles and EPs. The project continued its output into 2020 with Death, My Saviour… and additional singles, before concluding activity in 2021 with Terrifying the Night. Despite its brief existence, Naamah left behind a substantial discography and a distinct presence within Romania’s depressive black metal underground.
