Nebstavuotė is a Vilnius‑based pagan/black metal project formed in 2022, part of the new generation of Lithuanian acts blending traditional black metal aggression with Baltic cultural identity. Although still early in their career, the band has already carved out a recognizable aesthetic: raw, melodic riffing intertwined with pagan atmospheres, ritualistic rhythms, and a strong sense of national character. Their music leans toward the modern Lithuanian pagan black metal sound—energetic, folk‑tinged, and driven by themes of fire, identity, and ancestral spirit.

The project first appeared with the single “Ugnis” in 2023, a track built around fiery, triumphant melodies and a straightforward black metal backbone. The song’s reception within the local underground was positive, praised for its clarity, energy, and the band’s ability to balance rawness with accessibility.

In 2024 NebstavuotÄ— released two more singles: “Mes Pagonys”, a declaration of pagan identity with an anthemic, folk‑infused structure, and “Die Flammenwerfer”, a harsher, more martial track that showcased the band’s heavier side. These releases demonstrated a willingness to experiment within the pagan/black metal framework, alternating between melodic uplift and darker, more aggressive passages.

Though still unsigned and maintaining a low public profile, NebstavuotÄ— has quickly become a promising presence in the Lithuanian scene. Their early material suggests a band intent on merging cultural pride with black metal intensity, and their steady output hints at a forthcoming larger release.
