Óraculum is one of the most unusual and stylistically un‑Bosnian black metal projects to have emerged from the region. While most Bosnian black metal is rooted in rawness, plague‑ritualism, war‑blasphemy, or folkloric dread, Óraculum belongs to a completely different lineage: the Dutch‑leaning, avant‑occult, depressive‑ambient, ritual‑noise‑inflected micro‑scene that its members inhabit outside Bosnia.

This is a project that originated in Bosnia but is spiritually and aesthetically aligned with the Dutch underground—particularly the circles around Faceless Entity, Oorruin, Wierde, Teerlong, and the broader Haeresis Noviomagi / Dutch raw‑ritual continuum. The fingerprints are unmistakable:

Óraculum is not part of the Sarajevo Black Plague Circle, nor the Banja Luka war‑raw lineage, nor the Tuzla crust‑hybrids. It stands entirely apart, a liminal, cross‑border entity.

Discography

Demo

Attainment as a Path to Self‑infliction (2015)
A bleak, introspective, ritualistic demo.
The title alone signals the project’s philosophical bent: self‑harm as metaphysical attainment, suffering as revelation.

Split

Scraping / Transmission of Existential Horror (2017)
A collaboration steeped in dread and psychological decay.
The sound is more experimental, more ambient, more suffocating.

Split

Óraculum / Black Turmoil (2018)
The final known release.
A pairing that makes sense: Black Turmoil also operates in the depressive‑ritualistic space, though with a harsher edge.

After 2018, the project disappears.

The project’s identity is shaped almost entirely by this individual’s aesthetic.

This is the key to understanding Ă“raculum’s sound.

Vestibulum is a major figure in the Dutch raw‑ritual depressive underground, and his involvement explains the project’s aesthetic divergence from Bosnian norms. His presence places Ă“raculum in the same spiritual universe as:

This is a world of damp, suffocating, depressive, ritualistic black metal, far removed from Bosnia’s plague‑ritual or war‑raw traditions.

Viaticum – Drums, Vocals

A lesser‑documented figure, likely involved during the transitional period.

Position in the Bosnian Underground

Óraculum is an anomaly—a project that:

It is:

Instead, it is a diasporic, cross‑border, depressive‑ritual project that briefly touched Bosnia before dissolving into the Dutch underground.

In the grand map of Bosnian black metal, Óraculum is a ghost‑node—a project that passed through the region but belongs spiritually elsewhere.
