Veritasu

Country: Estonia
Location: Rakvere, Lääne‑Viru County
Status: Split‑up
Formed: 2003
Genre: Symphonic Black Metal
Themes: Darkness, Death, Cosmogony, Chaos, War, Luciferianism, Individualism
Label: Independent
Years active: 2003–2006

Name note: “Veritasu” is a constructed term; the band’s aesthetic leaned toward cosmic darkness, metaphysical war, and Luciferian individualism.

Veritasu was one of the more ambitious symphonic black‑metal projects to emerge from Rakvere in the early 2000s—a region better known for raw pagan and black‑thrash hybrids. Their music stood apart: dramatic keyboards, layered programming, and a conceptual focus on cosmic war, metaphysics, and Luciferian self‑assertion.

Despite their short lifespan, Veritasu left a distinct mark on the Virumaa underground. They performed at a memorial show for Enthorn, the guitarist of Meinardus, placing them directly within the Rakvere–Tallinn network of early symphonic and melodic black‑metal projects.

The band recorded a full‑length album with significantly improved sound and material, but it was never released, becoming one of the “lost albums” of the Estonian 2000s scene.
