Freezing Darkness started out in 2001. They performed at multiple concerts in cities such as Bogotá, Pasto, Pereira and Chia.

During the first semester of 2002, the band recorded their first demo. Freezing Darkness appeared on national radio and TV with the songs Blood Runs Cold, Darkest Land, The False Prophets, Blind Visions and Mystical Tragedies.
