Vixenta is an atmospheric and post-black metal band from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, originally formed in 2010 as a solo project. Over time the project evolved into a duo, with B. handling guitars, bass, keyboards and composition, and Moosh contributing vocals and lyrics.

The band’s sound blends cold, aggressive black metal with expansive atmospheric textures, creating an intense yet deeply emotional listening experience. Their music often explores themes of isolation, inner turmoil, existential struggle and emotional fragility, placing them within the depressive and post-black metal spectrum while maintaining a strong melodic identity.

After early independent releases, Vixenta gained wider attention with the full-length album Polarity in 2021, which showcased a mature balance between raw aggression and immersive ambience. The project continued to develop its sound through splits and collaborations before releasing The Oubliette in 2024, a more ambitious and conceptually driven album that expanded their atmospheric depth and compositional complexity.

Remaining rooted in the underground scene, Vixenta has built a reputation for evocative songwriting, layered soundscapes and a powerful emotional intensity that resonates strongly within the modern atmospheric black metal movement.
