Aphotic is an atmospheric death/doom metal band from Milan, Lombardy, Italy, formed in 2020. Stylized as APHΩTIC, the project explores themes of cosmology, astrophysics, and quantum mechanics through dense, immersive soundscapes and philosophical depth.

Signed to Sentient Ruin Laboratories, Aphotic released their debut full-length album Abyssgazer in 2023, a work that merges crushing doom riffs with spectral ambiance and cosmic dread. The album features tracks like “Spectral Degradation,” “Cosmivore,” and “Chasmous,” each sculpting a sonic descent into metaphysical voids and stellar collapse. Their music is both cerebral and visceral — a meditation on entropy, perception, and the limits of human understanding.
